Need recos for snow ready tires

Hey everyone, I'm gearing up for some winter riding in the next couple of months and I'm gonna need to swap out my tires. The thing is, I don't want to drop $250 a tire, but I still need something that can handle snowy, slippery trails and still give me a quiet ride when I'm cruising on the normal highway roads.
I'm running a 2021 Santa Cruz SEL right now and want to keep the ride feeling very much good and predictable. Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions please

Look for all-season or light snow-rated tires that balance grip and quiet highway performance . Honestly I'm not sure about the prices at the moment, but I will give you an advice. An all-season tire won't do well in very snowy conditions, so I think it's best to go for proper winter tires. To be fair, I think even the premium ones aren't that expensive, so I think you should be good with some Michelin or Continental tires. Also, winter tires aren't something you'd call quiet, so I think you should keep that in mind.

One thing to watch out for is how softer winter tire compounds can wear quickly on dry pavement, so if you're riding highways often, you might need replacements sooner than expected.
