Curt hitch and wiring

Purchased a new 2026 Santa Cruz to be able to pull a teardrop camper. A local hitch installer installed the hitch and wiring. Using a Curt Echo BT brake controller. Controller connects but there are no lights or turn signals even after activating the towing button on the dash. Drawing a blank here, wiring and hitch professionally installed and they are at a loss as to the possible problem.

That's a frustrating one because everything on paper says it should work and yet the lights just aren't cooperating. Curious whether the truck itself shows any kind of trailer connected confirmation on the dash or if it stays silent no matter what. Either way a new teardrop setup is a fun project to be chasing down what's the camper you're pulling?
